Probability Basics
Lesson 5 of 12
Every roulette outcome is based on probability.
In European Roulette there are 37 possible outcomes:
• Numbers 1–36
• One green zero (0)
Because every spin is independent, previous results do not influence future outcomes.
Many beginners believe that a number is "due" after not appearing for a long time. This is known as the Gambler's Fallacy.
Example:
If red appears 10 times in a row, the probability of red appearing on the next spin remains exactly the same as before.
Probability Examples
• Single number: 1 in 37 = 2.70%
• Red or Black: 18 in 37 = 48.65%
• Odd or Even: 18 in 37 = 48.65%
Understanding probability is the foundation of every roulette strategy.
Key Facts
• Each spin is independent
• Past results do not affect future results
• Probability never changes
